As others have pointed out, the whole dye system needs to be fixed. Red should appear the same regardless of what armor it's ok, and dye combinations should be universal; 1 red + 1 white = 2 pink (the volume of the dye shouldn't magically halve, either).

I don't think it would be that big a deal. IT would be more of a positive than a negative. People used to mix for hours to try and find a combination that got white pre that dye, and I believe a few rangers actually managed to achieve it. When they brought out actually white dye I never heard many people complaining that it was easier to do now...and I'm pretty sure the same could be said of pink, since it makes it easier for everyone in the long run.

Or, if it can be implemented:

Use it, then select a party member to use it on. Selected party member loses all DP. (If you want to be picky, you could require that the recipient be of the opposite gender.)

Require that the heart be previously traded in the same zone to work.
